DISC profiles: the 15 combinations

DISC describes how people tend to behave, through four dimensions. Most people lean clearly towards one or two of them, and that combination is their profile. Discality distinguishes 15 profiles.

Each profile page gives a short extract: how the styles combine, what the profile gives and what it costs, its characteristics and what motivates it. The profiles describe tendencies, not ability, and none of them is better than another.

The four dimensions

D

Dominance

Problems, obstacles and challenges

I

Influence

People, communication and contact

S

Steadiness

Pace, routine, change and consistency

C

Conscientiousness

Rules, standards, detail and quality

Everyone is a blend of all four; most people lean clearly towards one or two. No profile is better or worse than another — each has its own strengths and its own cost.
